LopeBase vs Instatus
Instatus is a status page product first, with monitoring, on-call members, and alerts built around it. LopeBase gives every product a free status page too, but as one part of an ops console for several SaaS products. The page is fed by LopeBase's own uptime checks and the services your app reports. If the status page is the thing you are buying, read the subscriber and domain rows below first.

The status page itself
A status page has two jobs: tell customers whether things work right now, and tell them what you are doing about it when they do not. Both tools cover the basics. Where they differ is how customers hear about an incident, and where the page lives.
Instatus is built around reaching people. Its plans are sized by subscribers, from 200 on the free Starter plan to 25,000 on Business, and paid plans let you put the page on your own domain, like status.yourproduct.com. Its home page says a page can be public or private, and the pricing table lists all page types on Business. It names Slack and Microsoft Teams for working on incidents with your team.
LopeBase's page is built around the checks it already keeps. Turn it on with one switch per product and it shows live status, 90 days of bars, a year of uptime, and the notes you post: an update, maintenance, an incident, or resolved, about the whole page or one part. Each service your app reports through the adapter's health address can show as its own component, and a part that is degraded rather than down shows amber. The page reads stored checks, never your site, so a rush of visitors during an outage adds no load to the site that is struggling.
The gaps are real. LopeBase has no email subscribers, so customers follow notes by RSS or by checking the page. There is no custom domain and no private page. If your customers expect to subscribe to incident updates, or the page must sit on your own domain, Instatus covers that and LopeBase does not.
What LopeBase adds is the step before the note. After real downtime, its incident review reads 30 days of checks with your top errors from Sentry, Bugsnag, Rollbar, or Honeybadger, says what went wrong, and drafts a status note. You read it, then post it to the page in one click.
How the pricing compares
Instatus's pricing page, checked October 2026, lists three plans. Starter is free, with 15 monitors, 2 minute checks, 200 subscribers, 5 team members, and 2 on-call members. Pro is listed from $20 a month, with 50 monitors, 30 second checks, 5,000 subscribers, 50 team members, SMS alerts, and a custom domain. Business adds 1,000 monitors, 25,000 subscribers, calls, SAML SSO, and all page types, with no price shown on the page when we checked. Paying a year up front gets three months free, and Instatus says non-profits and open-source projects can email for a free Pro account.
LopeBase counts products. Free for one product. Studio is $29 a month for 3 products, Portfolio $99 for 10, and Agency $299 with no limit. Each product's status page is free on every plan. Studio and above add your own logo, an accent color, choosing light or dark, and leaving off the "Status page by LopeBase" footer.
For one product that only needs a status page, Instatus's free plan is generous and LopeBase's is too. The choice comes down to whether you need subscribers and a domain, or want the page tied into everything else about the product.

Which one to pick
Pick Instatus if
The status page is a customer-facing product in itself: you need subscribers, your own domain, private pages, or SMS and calls for your team.
Pick LopeBase if
You run several products and want each to have an honest status page fed by real checks, with a drafted note after downtime and everything else about the product beside it.
Start freeSetting up a LopeBase status page
A status page needs a check to read from, so the order is:
- Add an uptime check for the product: its home page, or the adapter's health address if it runs the LopeBase Adapter.
- Open the Status pages tab on Uptime and turn on the switch for that product. The page is live at once.
- Click Edit to rename or hide components, post a first note, copy the badge, and add branding on a paid plan.
- Turn on "Status page updates" in your alert settings to hear by email or push when a teammate posts.
Moving from Instatus, there is no import. Your past incidents stay in Instatus, and LopeBase's uptime history starts with its first check, so the 90 day bars fill in over time. Subscribers do not carry over either, since LopeBase has none; point them at the RSS feed. Full steps are in Publish a status page.
Questions

Is LopeBase an Instatus alternative?
For a free public status page per product, fed by real checks, yes. For subscribers, a custom domain, or private pages, Instatus does what LopeBase does not.
Can customers subscribe to LopeBase status updates?
By RSS. Every status page has a feed of your notes. There is no email subscription.
Can I put a LopeBase status page on my own domain?
No. It lives at a link under your LopeBase workspace's address. You can link to it, and add its live badge to your site.
What does branding on a paid plan change?
Your own logo, an accent color, light or dark instead of following the visitor's system, and no LopeBase footer. The page and its history are free on every plan.
Does a busy status page slow my site down?
No. It reads checks LopeBase already stored, never your site.
