ChartMogul alternatives
ChartMogul is a good subscription analytics tool, and for many companies it is the right one. People look elsewhere for a few plain reasons: the price grows with revenue, combining billing accounts needs a higher plan, or they need less than it offers. Here are five real options, each described from its own website as of October 2026, including the one we make.
What ChartMogul costs, and why people look
ChartMogul's pricing page lists a Free plan for businesses up to $10K MRR with one billing source, unlimited team members, and its full set of SaaS metrics. Starter begins at $69 a month, or $57 billed yearly, with one billing source and two custom sources. Pro begins at $119 a month, or $99 yearly, and connects up to five billing sources. Both paid plans step up as tracked revenue grows, and Enterprise starts at $19,900 a year with up to 15 billing sources.
Three things send people searching. First, the revenue bands: a company that grows pays more each step, for the same reports. Second, billing sources: each connected billing system counts as one, so a founder with a separate Stripe account per product needs Pro to see them in one place. Third, scope: some teams want deeper churn and dunning tools, others want something lighter, and others want revenue next to the rest of each product.

The options
Baremetrics
Baremetrics is the closest like-for-like swap. It covers subscription metrics such as MRR and churn, and sells two add-ons ChartMogul does not bundle: Payment Recovery for failed payments and Cancellation Insights, at $129 a month each.
Its pricing page lists Launch from $75 a month for up to $360K ARR with a single integration, Growth from $255 a month for $360K to $3.6M ARR with two integrations, and Scale from $1,152 a month above that with unlimited integrations. Annual billing takes up to 35% off, and the FAQ lists lower starting figures of $49, $189, and $749. There is no free plan, though there is a free trial and a public demo.
Who it fits: a single product past ChartMogul's free band that wants dunning in the same tool. Like ChartMogul, its price rises with ARR, so it does not solve that particular complaint. More in LopeBase vs Baremetrics and Baremetrics vs ChartMogul.
ProfitWell Metrics, from Paddle
Paddle describes ProfitWell Metrics as completely free revenue reporting for subscription and SaaS companies. It reports MRR, churn, upgrades and downgrades, lifetime value, active customers, and revenue per customer, with segmentation by plan and cohort, customer health scores, and benchmarks. It connects to Stripe, Chargebee, Braintree, Zuora, Recurly, and Paddle itself, so you do not have to bill through Paddle to use it.
Who it fits: anyone who wants the standard subscription metrics and does not want to pay for them. The trade is that it is part of a billing company's product line rather than a stand-alone vendor, which matters to some teams and not at all to others. Stripe's own Billing analytics
If you bill with Stripe Billing, you may already have more than you think. Stripe's docs describe a Billing overview in the Dashboard with MRR and MRR growth, active and new subscribers, ARPU, subscriber lifetime value, trial conversion, subscriber churn, churned revenue, and retention by cohort. You can choose how discounts and active subscribers are counted, drill into some charts to see which customers churned or expanded, benchmark against similar businesses on Stripe, and download CSV reports like an MRR roll-forward.
The limits follow from where it lives. It covers subscriptions in that Stripe account, not billing done elsewhere. Stripe notes that filtering and grouping work for a subset of metrics and not when you process subscriptions in several currencies.
Who it fits: one product on Stripe Billing that wants solid numbers without another tool. With several Stripe accounts, you open each account's Dashboard in turn.
LopeBase
LopeBase is not a subscription analytics platform, and it does not report churn today. It is an ops console for people who run several SaaS products. On revenue, it reads each product's Stripe or Polar account with a restricted, read-only key and shows MRR, active, cancelling, and past-due subscriptions, and the last 30 days of gross, net, and one-time payments, per product and added up. Currencies are never added together. Connect Mercury, Brex, Rho, or Wise and the same page shows cash and runway. A product that bills elsewhere can report its own MRR through the LopeBase Adapter.
The point is the rest of the screen: the same products' traffic, signups, uptime, errors, and SEO, so a dip in MRR sits next to the outage or the traffic drop that explains it. Pricing counts products, not revenue or billing accounts: free for one product, Studio $29 a month for 3, Portfolio $99 for 10, and Agency $299 with no limit.
Who it fits: a founder or studio with several products, each on its own Stripe or Polar account, who wants every product's MRR in one place without paying more as it grows. Not a fit if you need cohorts, churn analysis, or billing systems beyond Stripe and Polar. See Revenue in LopeBase and LopeBase vs ChartMogul.
A spreadsheet
The oldest option is a sheet: export subscriptions, normalize yearly plans to monthly, add it up. It costs nothing and you control every definition. It also goes stale the day you stop updating it, and it gets heavy as products and currencies add up.
Who it fits: one or two products, early, where the numbers are small enough to check by hand. The free portfolio MRR calculator does the adding for several products in your browser, with no signup, if you want a quick check before picking a tool.

How to choose
Start with what you actually do with the numbers each week, not the longest feature list.
| If you need | Look at |
|---|---|
| Deep metrics across many billing systems, and CRM sync | Stay on ChartMogul. |
| Dunning and cancellation insights in the same tool | Baremetrics, with its add-ons. |
| Standard metrics, free, at any revenue | ProfitWell Metrics. |
| One product on Stripe Billing, nothing extra to set up | Stripe's Billing analytics. |
| MRR for several products beside their traffic, uptime, and SEO | LopeBase. |
| A rough number for a couple of products, today | A spreadsheet, or the MRR calculator. |
These are not exclusive. One workable pairing is a deep analytics tool for board reporting and a console like LopeBase for the daily view across products. If you only change one thing, check how each option counts what you pay for: revenue bands, billing sources, or products. That decides which one gets more expensive as you grow.
Stay with ChartMogul if
You use its segments, CRM sync, and billing coverage, and the price for your revenue band is fine.
Try LopeBase if
You run several products on separate Stripe or Polar accounts and want their revenue next to everything else about them.

What is the best free ChartMogul alternative?
ProfitWell Metrics is free at any revenue. Stripe's Billing analytics comes with Stripe Billing. ChartMogul itself is free up to $10K MRR, and LopeBase is free for one product.
Which alternative handles several Stripe accounts?
LopeBase connects a Stripe or Polar account for each product, with no separate limit on billing accounts; plans count products. Baremetrics counts integrations by plan, and Stripe's own analytics covers one account at a time.
Does LopeBase report churn like ChartMogul?
No. It reports MRR, active, cancelling, and past-due subscriptions, and 30-day gross, net, and one-time revenue. For churn and cohorts, ChartMogul, Baremetrics, ProfitWell, or Stripe's analytics go further.
Can I use LopeBase alongside ChartMogul?
Yes. LopeBase reads Stripe and Polar with its own read-only keys, so it does not touch your ChartMogul setup.
