LopeBase vs ProfitWell Metrics

ProfitWell Metrics, now part of Paddle, is free subscription reporting: MRR, churn, upgrades and downgrades, customer lifetime value, and cohorts, with benchmarks against other SaaS companies. It is hard to argue with free for revenue numbers alone. LopeBase covers less of subscription analytics and more of everything around it, so you can see why revenue moved: a traffic drop, a site outage, a search that fell to page two.

How the pricing compares

ProfitWell Metrics is free. Paddle's page, checked October 2026, describes it as "completely free" revenue reporting for subscription and SaaS companies, and says it connects to Stripe, Chargebee, and other billing tools including Paddle, so you do not need to bill through Paddle to use it.

Paddle also sells paid products alongside it, like Retain for failed payments and churn. The metrics themselves cost nothing.

LopeBase counts products. Free for one product with no time limit. Studio is $29 a month for 3 products, Portfolio $99 for 10, and Agency $299 with no limit. Priced by products, not seats, and a new workspace gets 14 days of Portfolio with no card.
