Databox alternatives
Databox does a lot: dashboards, reports, goals, forecasts, and an AI analyst over 130+ integrations. The tools people weigh against it each lean one way: screens for the office, a free report builder, client reporting, questions over your own database, or a console for running SaaS products. Here are six, described from each one's own pricing page as of October 2026, so you can match the tool to the job.
How Databox prices, and why people look
Databox's pricing page lists a Free plan for 1 user, 3 data sources, and 1 dashboard with daily syncs. Analyst is $71 a month billed yearly for 1 user and 5 data sources. Team Core is $199 a month yearly for 3 users and 10 sources, and Team Scale $319 for 10 users and 30. The Agency plan starts at $79 a month yearly, with unlimited users and 20 data sources, and $20 account packs on top. Paid plans sync hourly.
The unit to watch is the data source. Databox defines one as a specific dataset, account, property, or view, so a single Google Analytics login with three properties counts as three. Teams with many properties or seats outgrow plans quickly. Others find they are paying for analysis tools they do not use, or building every dashboard themselves when they wanted one already made.

The options
Geckoboard
Geckoboard is built for dashboards on a shared screen, so the whole team sees the same live numbers. Essentials is from $79 a month billed yearly with 2 dashboards, 1 editor, and 1 screen; extra dashboards are $24 and extra editors or screens $20. Performance is from $319 a month with 20 dashboards, 3 editors, and 5 screens. Every plan has unlimited viewers, and there is a 14 day trial. There is no free plan.
Who it fits: a team that wants a handful of boards on a TV, viewed by many and built by few. More in LopeBase vs Geckoboard and Databox vs Geckoboard.
Klipfolio
Klipfolio's Klips plans all include unlimited users and 130+ integrations, and differ by dashboard count and refresh rate. Base is $120 a month yearly ($140 monthly) for 3 dashboards refreshed every 4 hours. Grow is $190 ($220) for 10 dashboards hourly, Team $310 ($350) for 20 dashboards every 15 minutes, and Team+ $600 ($690) for 40 dashboards with up-to-the-minute refresh. There is a 14 day trial with no card, and a separate product, PowerMetrics, for metric-centered analytics.
Who it fits: a team with someone who enjoys building dashboards, that wants many viewers without paying per seat. More in LopeBase vs Klipfolio.
Looker Studio, now called Data Studio again
Google's report builder has a self-service tier at no cost. Data Studio Pro is $9 per user per project a month, with team workspaces, content owned by your organization, more delivery schedules, and Google Cloud support, after a 30 day trial. It reads Search Console and many other sources through connectors.
Who it fits: anyone whose data lives mostly in Google, who is happy to design reports and fix them when a field changes. The price is hard to beat; the cost is your time. More in LopeBase vs Looker Studio.
AgencyAnalytics
AgencyAnalytics prices per client: its Core plan is $20 per client a month billed yearly, with unlimited data sources, dashboards, reports, and staff accounts, 85+ marketing integrations, a white-labeled client portal, and goals and alerts. Rank tracking and an AI tracker are paid add-ons. There is a 14 day trial with no card, and volume pricing from 25 clients.
Who it fits: a marketing agency reporting to clients on SEO, ads, and social, where each client covers its own cost. More in LopeBase vs AgencyAnalytics, and for another agency tool, LopeBase vs Whatagraph.
Metabase
Metabase answers questions about data you already own. The open source edition is free to host yourself, with unlimited users, questions, and dashboards. Its cloud Starter plan is $100 a month ($90 billed yearly) for the first 5 users, then $6 per user. Pro is $575 a month ($517.50 yearly) for the first 10 users, then $12 per user, and Enterprise starts at $20,000 a year.
Who it fits: a team whose numbers live in its own database or warehouse, with someone who can write SQL or model the data. It does not pull from SaaS tools the way Databox does. More in LopeBase vs Metabase.
LopeBase
LopeBase is narrower than all of these on purpose. It is an ops console for people who run several SaaS products, and its screens already exist: Overview, Revenue, Analytics, Uptime, and SEO, one row per product. It reads Stripe and Polar for MRR, Google Analytics, Plausible, PostHog, or its own cookieless counter for traffic, Search Console and Bing for search, Sentry and other trackers for errors, and runs its own uptime checks with a free status page. Needs attention lists what is wrong today, like a site down or a subscription past due, and alerts by email or push. You can also compose your own dashboards from the charts it builds.
It is not a general BI tool. There are no spreadsheets, ad platforms, or CRMs to connect, and no white-label client reports. Pricing counts products, not data sources or seats: free for one product, Studio $29 a month for 3, Portfolio $99 for 10, and Agency $299 with no limit. A product's Stripe, analytics, and Search Console all count as that one product.
Who it fits: a founder or small studio running several SaaS products who wants each one's health in one place without building the boards. See what LopeBase does.
How to choose
Two questions sort most of this list. Who builds the dashboards, and what is counted on the bill?
| If you | Look at |
|---|---|
| Want reports, goals, and forecasts across many kinds of tools | Stay on Databox. |
| Want numbers on a TV that everyone can see | Geckoboard. |
| Have a builder on the team and many viewers | Klipfolio. |
| Live in Google data and want to pay nothing | Looker Studio. |
| Report to agency clients | AgencyAnalytics. |
| Query your own database | Metabase. |
| Run several SaaS products and want the screens made | LopeBase. |
Then check the billing unit against your setup. Databox counts sources, Geckoboard and Klipfolio count dashboards, AgencyAnalytics counts clients, Metabase counts users, and LopeBase counts products. Whichever unit you have the most of is the one that will drive your bill, so pick the tool that does not charge for it.
Stay with Databox if
You use its breadth across ads, CRM, and spreadsheets, and its reports and goals, and the source count fits.
Try LopeBase if
The dashboards you were going to build are for SaaS products you run: revenue, traffic, uptime, errors, and SEO for each one, already made.
