How does a shared link to your page look?
Paste a page address or a domain to read its Open Graph and twitter:card tags, check that the preview image loads and is big enough, and see the card that chats and social apps build from them. No account needed.
Check a page
What the checker reads
It loads the page once, reads the tags in its <head>, then asks for the preview image to see whether it loads and how big it is. A domain alone checks the home page.
- og:title and og:descriptionThe headline and line of text under it on the card. Without them, apps fall back to the page title or show a bare link.
- og:imageWhether there is one, whether it is a full https:// address, whether it loads, and its width and height.
- twitter:cardWhether the page says which card X should draw. summary_large_image shows the big picture.
- The cardA mock of the shared link with your domain, title, and description, and the size of the image that would fill it.
What the result means, and how to fix it
Each line marked Improve is a tag that is missing or an image that will not show well. None of them changes your search ranking, but a link with a clear title and a picture gets noticed in a chat or a feed where a bare address does not.
Put these tags in the <head> of every page you expect people to share, each with that page's own title, description, and image:
<meta property="og:title" content="Invoicing for small design agencies" />
<meta property="og:description" content="Invoices, time tracking, and client portals in one app." />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/og/home.png" />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://example.com/" />
<meta property="og:type" content="website" />
<meta name="twitter:card" content="summary_large_image" />
- Make the image 1200 x 630. That shape fills the card on most apps and stays sharp. Smaller than 1200 wide or 600 tall is flagged, since it shows blurry or as a small thumbnail.
- Use the full address. Write og:image as https://yoursite.com/path.png, not /path.png. Many apps do not resolve a relative address.
- Make sure it loads for everyone. An image behind a login, a firewall rule for bots, or a broken path shows as a blank card.
- Expect a delay after a fix. Apps cache a card for a while. LinkedIn's Post Inspector and Facebook's Sharing Debugger can fetch a fresh one.
Social tags are one of many checks. The full free audit also reads your pages, sitemap, robots.txt, page speed, structured data, llms.txt, and email records. In LopeBase it runs again whenever you like, for every site you run.

Why is the preview image not shown in the mock?
The image lives on your site, and this page only loads images from lopebase.com. The mock names the image's size and gives a link to open it instead, so you can see it in a new tab.
What size should an og:image be?
1200 x 630 pixels, about 1.91 to 1. It fills a large card on X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Slack, and most chat apps. Keep text away from the edges, since some apps crop a little.
Do I need twitter:title and twitter:image too?
Usually not. X falls back to the og: tags when the twitter: ones are missing. The one X tag worth adding is twitter:card, set to summary_large_image for the big picture.
Can I check a page other than the home page?
Yes. Paste the full page address, like yoursite.com/pricing. A domain on its own checks the home page.
Do you store the page I check?
No. The check runs once and the answer comes straight back to this page. Nothing is saved and no email is sent.
