A status page is a public page your customers can check: live status, a year of uptime, and any updates you post. It reads from the checks LopeBase already keeps, never from the site itself, so even a status page getting a lot of traffic during an outage cannot add load to the site it reports on. It is free on every plan.

## Turn it on

1. **Open Uptime:** Open the **Status pages** tab. Every checked property has a row there with a switch and a link. [Open status pages](https://app.lopebase.com/uptime?tab=status)
2. **Turn on the switch:** The page is live the moment you turn it on, at a link under your workspace's own address. Nobody can see it while it is off.
3. **Edit it:** Click **Edit** on that row to open the editor, with five tabs: Page, Components, Updates, Share, and Branding.

_The status page editor, open on Updates._

## What each tab does

| Tab | What it covers |
| --- | --- |
| Page | The title, a line under it, and the page's address to copy or open. |
| Components | What shows on the page: the site itself, and any service your health address lists. Rename a part or hide it. |
| Updates | Post a note: an update, maintenance, an incident, or resolved, about the whole page or one part. Edit or delete a note after posting it. |
| Share | The live status badge for a site or README, and the RSS feed address for your notes. |
| Branding | Your own logo, an accent color, light or dark, and leaving off the LopeBase footer. Needs a paid plan. |

A part that is degraded rather than fully down shows amber and labeled "Degraded" on the page, in its badge, and on its 90-day bars. It still counts as up in the uptime percentages the page shows.

## Posting an update

On Updates, pick a kind, write the note (500 characters), and optionally say which part it is about if the page shows more than one. Posted notes show newest first on the page and in the RSS feed. Edit a note any time; LopeBase marks it "edited" on the public page.

> **Tip:** Turn on "Status page updates" in [your alert settings](https://lopebase.com/docs/alerts) and you hear about a teammate's note by email or browser push, the same as any other alert.

## Badge and feed

The Share tab gives you a live SVG badge, ready to paste into a site or a GitHub README, that shows "up", "degraded", or "down" and links to the page. The RSS feed at `/feed.xml` on your status page's address lets customers follow your notes without checking the page.

## Paid branding

The status page itself, its uptime history, and its notes are free on every plan, including Free. The Studio plan and above add your own logo, an accent color, choosing light or dark instead of following the visitor's system, and leaving off the "Status page by LopeBase" footer.

## If something goes wrong

### Why is my status page showing "No data yet" for a part?

A component needs its own checks before it has a percentage. The site itself fills in as soon as the next 15-minute check runs; a service only appears once your health address has reported it at least once.

### A service I don't want on the page keeps reappearing

LopeBase adds any service your health address reports that is not already listed, shown by default. Hide it on the Components tab; it stays hidden even if the health address keeps reporting it.

### Can I stop a status page from showing at all without deleting its notes?

Yes. Turning the switch off takes the page down immediately but keeps every note and setting, so turning it back on later picks up right where you left it.

### My logo or colors are not showing

Branding needs a paid plan. On Free, the Branding tab is locked with an Upgrade button, and the page uses the default look even if you saved a logo earlier.
