A pipeline is a job of several steps that runs on its own and stops for your OK where you put a check. Steps can write with AI, read your numbers, or wait for you to look something over before the next step runs. Start from a template, or build your own from the step list.

## The ready-made templates

| Template | Steps |
| --- | --- |
| Write, review, and publish an article | Writes on your best topic idea, or one you name, waits for you to read it, then publishes it where your articles go. |
| SEO checkup, then write the top fix | Audits your pages and search results, shows you what to fix, and once you agree writes an article on the best quick win it found. |
| Plan next month's articles | Finds fresh topic ideas from your keywords and Search Console, shows you the best ones, and puts them on the open dates of your content calendar. Free. |
| Win back cancelling customers | Finds customers whose payment failed or who are cancelling, shows you who, then drafts a short personal note for you to send. |

## Run one

1. **Open Pipelines:** [Open Pipelines](https://app.lopebase.com/pipelines)
2. **Pick a template and a property:** Each template card shows its steps as a flow and what it costs in AI credits before you run it. Templates with no AI step, like planning next month's articles, are free.
3. **Let it run, or come back to it:** A run keeps going in the background even if you close the tab or move to another page. A step marked "You check it" stops the run and shows under **Waiting on you** until you review it.
4. **Review what it found:** Open the run to read what the earlier step produced, then approve to continue or stop the run there. [Open Pipelines](https://app.lopebase.com/pipelines)

## Build your own

**New pipeline** chains steps from a short list, each one grouped by what it does:

| Group | Steps |
| --- | --- |
| Content | Write an article, publish the article, find topic ideas, put ideas on the calendar. |
| Search | Audit the site, write on the top search opportunity. |
| Customers | Find who is leaving, draft a note to them. |
| AI | Write with AI: anything you ask for, using the property and what earlier steps found. |
| You | You check it: pauses the run until you look and approve, or stop it. |

A step that needs something an earlier step made, like an article or a list of people, can only follow a step that makes one. Put a "You check it" step wherever you want a chance to stop the run before it goes further. Copy any template and change it rather than starting from nothing.

> **Note:** Building and saving your own pipelines needs an admin and a database. Without one, you can still run the ready-made templates.

## Recent runs

Every run, from a template or one you built, shows on Pipelines with how far it got: running, waiting on you, done, or stopped. A stopped run's page says what went wrong, and you can retry it from where it stopped rather than starting over.

## If something goes wrong

### Why is my pipeline waiting and not finishing?

A "You check it" step always pauses until someone with the capability to review approves it. It shows under Waiting on you on Pipelines until then; nothing times it out.

### A run says "Stopped." What now?

Open the run to read what failed. Fixing the cause, like connecting a tool a step needed, usually lets you retry from that step rather than running the whole pipeline again.

### Can I close the tab while a pipeline runs?

Yes. It keeps running in the background and shows as running when you come back. If it finishes while you are elsewhere in LopeBase, a toast with a View button lets you jump straight to it.

### Why can't I build a custom pipeline?

New pipeline needs the capability to manage pipelines and a database to save them to. Without a database you can still run every template.

### What does a pipeline cost?

Only its AI steps cost credits; a pipeline with none, like planning next month's articles, is free. Each template card shows its estimated cost before you run it.
