Discussions searches public forums for recent threads about the problem your property solves, even ones that never mention it by name, so you have somewhere to reply. It is new and still being tuned: which threads it finds, and how well they fit, will keep improving. Nothing is ever posted from here; you follow the link and reply yourself.

> **Tip:** Go to **Grow** > **Discussions**, or [Open Discussions](https://app.lopebase.com/discussions).

## Find threads

Pick a property, then press **Find threads** (or **Find more threads** on a later run). It searches Reddit, X, Indie Hackers, Hacker News, Product Hunt, and Stack Overflow for threads from the last year that fit what the property does, picked by a cheap AI model so you only see ones worth your time. A thread already found is never shown twice. The button shows its credit cost before you run it; it needs an AI key or LopeBase AI credits.

## What to look for

Under the thread list, **What to look for** holds the phrases the search looks for, like the problem your product solves or the category it is in. Add or edit these yourself, or have AI suggest some from the property's site.

## Work through what it finds

Threads sort into three views:

| View | What it means |
| --- | --- |
| New | Found and not yet acted on. |
| Responded | You replied, or plan to; marked by you. |
| Not relevant | Marked by you as not worth a reply. Later searches steer away from threads like it. |

Each thread shows where it was posted and when, with an **Open on [platform]** button that takes you straight to it to reply in your own voice. Mark it responded or not relevant once you have decided; marking it moves it immediately and saves in the background.

## Where to go next

- [Use the SEO toolkit](https://lopebase.com/docs/seo), whose Links tab shows posts that already mention your site by name; Discussions finds the ones that do not yet.
- [Manage your properties](https://lopebase.com/docs/properties) to add a property before searching for its discussions.

## If something goes wrong

### Why didn't Find threads find anything?

Discussions is still being tuned, and a narrow or unusual product space can come up short. Try adding a few more phrases under What to look for, closer to how people actually describe the problem, then search again.

### Why do some threads not seem relevant to my product?

Threads are picked by an AI model matching your topics, so fit varies. Mark a bad match as not relevant; later searches learn to steer away from threads like it.

### Why does finding threads need an AI key or credits?

The search and the matching both run on AI. Connect your own key to use that, or spend a few LopeBase AI credits; the button shows the cost first.

### Can I undo marking a thread not relevant or responded?

Yes. Open that view and use the button to move it back to New.
