A dashboard is a set of charts for one property, or combined across all of them. LopeBase ships four, and you can compose your own from any chart it knows how to build.

Open Dashboards

## The four built-in dashboards

| Dashboard | Needs | Shows |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Overview | Any property | MRR, one-time revenue, active users, content queue, signups, and subscription mix. |
| Revenue | A subscription or MRR source | MRR, one-time revenue, and subscription status. |
| Content & SEO | A connected blog or posts source | Published posts, the content queue, articles by status, and target SEO keywords. |
| Analytics | A web analytics connection | Pageviews, weekly active users, the daily pageviews trend, traffic sources, devices, and top pages. |

A dashboard nothing feeds yet sits under **Waiting on a source** on the index page, saying what it needs. Open it anyway and LopeBase shows you how to connect that source.

## Reading one

Each dashboard's card on the index already shows its headline numbers and a trend or status breakdown, so you can read the important ones without opening anything. Open a card for the full board.

With more than one property connected to the same dashboard, a switcher at the top lets you look at one property or combine them all; combining counts each property once even if two of its connections measure the same thing. A property measured by two services, like PostHog and Google Analytics, gets its own small switch between them.

Every page says when its numbers were last updated, with a **Refresh** button beside it. Dashboards read numbers LopeBase already keeps rather than asking every connected service on every page load, so a service is only asked again when you actually ask it to refresh.

## Build your own

1. **Start a new dashboard:** **New dashboard**, at the top of the Dashboards page, walks you through three steps.
2. **Pick where the numbers come from:** Choose a property, or an analytics source if the charts you want are analytics-only.
3. **Pick the charts and their order:** Add any chart from the full list and arrange them in the order you want them to read.
4. **Name it:** Give it a name and save. It shows on Dashboards with a Custom badge, and you can edit or remove it later.

> **Note:** Composing and saving a custom dashboard needs the capability to edit dashboards and a database to save it to. Without a database, the four built-in dashboards still work.

## If something goes wrong

### Why does a dashboard say it needs a source I think I already connected?

Check the connection is attached to the right property, not just present in the workspace. A connection with no property, like a bank account, can still feed a dashboard that combines every property, but not one scoped to a single property.

### A number on my dashboard looks stale

Dashboards show stored numbers, updated on their own schedule, not a live read on every visit. Click Refresh to ask the services behind it again; the "Updated" line under the charts shows how old what you are looking at is.

### Can I delete one of the four built-in dashboards?

No, but you can build a custom one next to it with just the charts you want, and ignore the built-in one.

### Why is "Combine" missing from the property switcher?

It only shows when more than one property feeds that dashboard. With just one connected, there is nothing to combine yet.
